As we know every sport has a risk of injury, this case commonly caused by overuse, direct impact, or the application of force that is greater than the body part can structurally withstand. We are doing sports to make the body more fit and healthy, so let us know how to prevent sports injuries;
1. Warming Up
Doesn’t matter how little time you have, warming up will always be an essential part of your sports. Once your body is properly warmed up, you can easily and safely perform your sports and to ensure proper flexibility and range of motion for your body. It’s basic but it really works.
2. Right and Proper Technique
Every sport has a different technique, as an example when doing football there is a technique for kicking, tackling, heading, and etc. Make sure you are doing these techniques correctly.
3. Be Careful
This point is not about doing slow and steady, but always preparing yourself in every situation. Make sure you are in good condition before you start doing sports, your shoes are not slippery and the lace ties perfectly, wear protective gear if needed, stay hydrated before and after sports.
4. Eating healthy food in Well-balanced Diet
Doesn’t matter how intense your diet is, make sure you have enough nutrition in your body; fruits, vegetables, and food rich with protein.
5. Don’t Force Yourself
Know your capability, never ignore your body signs. Rest for a minute if you feel tired. Get consultation with a sports instructor or even a doctor if needed.
