To strengthen our commitment to sustainable products, we also completed OCS 100 certification. The Organic Content Standard (OCS) applies to any non-food product containing 95-100 percent organic material. It verifies the presence and amount of organic material in our final product and tracks the flow of the raw material from its source to the final product. OCS 100 covers the processing, manufacturing, packaging, labeling, trading and distribution of a product that contains at least 95 percent certified ‘organic’ materials. It can be used as a business-to-business tool to give companies the means to ensure that they are selling quality and getting what they pay for.
Organic raw material, in this case cotton organic, is not only better for the soil and earth, but protects the farmers who work on these cotton fields. Studies have proven the links of consistent occupational exposure to pesticides and deteriorating health conditions. Organic cotton is grown with minimal environmental impact and must meet organic agricultural standards similar to organic food crops. To achieve organic certification, the cotton must come from non–genetically modified plants and be grown without synthetic fertilizers or pesticides.
So after we know it, we can start to make a product again, surely with better organic material . At the end of this article, we want to say “Let’s produce responsibly, and make the world better for the future”.
