Textile dyeing is the process of adding color to any textile product with dyes. It also can be defined as the process that turns knitted greige into knitted fabric. In general, textile dyeing can be classified as piece dyed and yarn dyed. Piece dyed is when knitted greige coloring through the dyeing process, beside yarn dyed means yarn is coloring through a dyeing mechanism before it’s knitted into fabric. The piece dyed process is relatively faster than yarn dyed, but yarn dyed did better when played with patterned and striped fabric.

The textile dyeing process starts with cleaning the greige fabric, sometimes a pretreatment like singeing, de-sizing, scouring, bleaching, and mercerizing process is needed. This pretreatment process proposes to remove any natural or man-made contaminant from the fibers, allows the structure of the fabric to be clearly seen, and in general to improve absorption of fiber and color aesthetical looks. After the pretreatment process we can go to the dyeing process that can be done in various methods like; jet dyeing, jig dyeing, pad dyeing, and beam dyeing. Every dyeing method comes with different advantages and limitations, but we prefer to invest in a dyeing method that can work faster in the high productivity, low consumption of water, and can be handled carefully/gently.
