Have you noticed a label that is sewn into the inside of the clothes? That label gives you information about the details of material, warning, and instructions for washing and ironing. Care labels are essential when making the decision to purchase items, especially clothing. Without the guidance of an accurate care label; it would not be known how to properly care for a particular garment which in the long run could ruin the fabric.
So why is it so important to read care labels? As we know when making clothes, we can make it from any kind of fabric; maybe it’s material from 100% cotton, 100% polyester, rayon, modal, or a combination of them. Different materials need different care methods; such as cotton is durable, but it can shrink when it’s exposed to heat. Polyester is much more resistant to heat, but it is prone to fading over time. So wisely follow the instructions in your clothes care labels for washing and ironing, to make your clothes stay longer.
What information should be written in care labels? Normally we can see a washing guide that needs to be hand washed and let air dry or if it’s safe to wash in a washing machine, beside it we can see an ironing guide that tells about how much heat an item can withstand. To make it informatif you can make a guide as an icon/symbol, it’s acceptable as long as information is easy to understand for customers.
